Hello and welcome to the user/family section of the Hurley Family website. This section of the site is created using an open source software package called Drupal. Drupal provides a framework for user generated sites (it's a CMS or Content Management System). The idea is that while I don't building and hosting sites, it makes much more sense to allow any Hurley Family member to contribute content to the site - whether it's sharing stories or photos or just posting links. In addition, comments and online discussions can take place and family members can interact 365 days a year instead of just one.

Right now I'm still in the process of setting things up and I'm sure there will be some bumps along the way, but I hope this can turn out to be a great resource. And one of the great things about the Drupal software is that it is very flexible - while I have some ideas of things that might me useful, I'll let the site go where the users take it.

So welcome to your website Hurley Family, I will most certainly be adding new features & functionality but I'm also passing a lot of the responsibility onto you.
